The ZeitPunkt culture magazine is a German magazine . It was founded in October 1990 and has a monthly circulation of 22,000 copies.
As the oldest city magazine , ZeitPunkt has been an integral part of Leipzig's city life since 1990 , with the focus of the issue on the hero city with all of its cultural and subcultural issues. The monthly magazine is distributed free of charge to over 1,000 delivery points.
Christian Nóvé (band leader of the prog rock band DICE) was the founder of ZeitPunkt culture magazine and from 1991 to 2011 editor-in-chief and publisher. In 1991, in one of the first issues of his magazine, he launched an open workshop "A musical is created", in which interested readers can work on the creation of a musical and then bring it to the stage. The progress should be described every month, making the creation process transparent for all readers. At the same time, some culture fans from the ZeitPunkt editorial team founded an association to oversee this project.
ZeitPunkt reports regularly with articles on the latest from Leipzig's culture, politics, sport and student life. The magazine also provides information about the latest from the world of music, films, gastronomy and literature.
The publication date is always the last Thursday of the month. The ZeitPunkt culture magazine was published by Nóvé-Medienverlag until 2011 and has been published by Auerbach Verlag und Infodienste GmbH since then.

In addition, the ZeitPunkt student guide appears twice a year.
The ZeitPunkt student guide is distributed free of charge at the beginning of the summer and winter semesters in all places in Leipzig and Halle that are highly frequented by students. It appears on the second Thursday in April and October.
