In geoinformatics, time travel is the representation of a time series of specific geodata , which represent a specific topic of the real world at different points in time. A typical form of such time travel offers, for example, the possibility of moving a time slider on a time scale and thereby displaying geodata online at different times. Such a real time travel differs from a time travel in the field of physics resp. Science fiction, however, has movement through time in common with such time travel.
