The journal for state constitutional law and state administrative law (in short: ZLVR ) is a nationally distributed specialist journal for state constitutional and state administrative law in all German states . It bears the subtitle The general journal for constitutional law and administrative law of all sixteen German states .

The journal was launched under the Erfurt Society for German State Law by young scientists from the University of Erfurt . The aim of the periodical is to strengthen the view of public law and the jurisdiction of the federal states. The aim is not only to deal with legal questions of the law of the individual states, but also to promote a comparative perspective on state law in the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition, there are regular statements and reports on current events and legal policy issues.

The magazine appears both in a print edition and as an online publication once a quarter. It is made available free of charge in the spirit of free science and is financed by donations from the institutions and scientists involved. The editorial staff is therefore an honorary done and also no allowances and royalties paid to authors and contributors.
