The Zenair Ltd. is a Canadian aircraft manufacturer based in Midland, Ontario .

history

The company in 1974 by the Canadian was founded airplane - engineer Chris Heintz. Heintz began assembling aircraft kits for the Zenith Aircraft Company in a garage.

In 1992 he acquired the license and trademark rights for the STOL CH 701 and the ZODIAC CH 601 from Zenith. From these types of aircraft he developed the STOL CH 801 and the ZODIAC XL for the Zenith Aircraft Company.

In 1996 Chris Heintz and Zenair Ltd. the approval for the Zenith CH 2000. The company Aircraft Manufacturing and Design (AMD) brought this aircraft to the market as the AMD Alarus CH 2000. AMD also builds the CH 601 XL.

In 2012, Zenair Ltd. approval for CH 2000.
