Lisbon Central Mosque

The Lisbon Central Mosque (Portuguese: Mesquita Central de Lisboa ) is the central mosque of the Portuguese Islamic community.

It was built with the support of various Muslim countries and inaugurated in 1985. The mosque serves the Muslim community in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon .

It was designed by the architects António Maria Braga and João Paulo Conceição. The four-story mosque has a minaret and a dome . It has reception halls, large prayer rooms (separate for men and women) on the upper floors and a lecture room as well as its own restaurant.
