The building at Zievericher Straße 2 in the Thorr district in the district town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district is a listed building.

history

The “Hilger Vogel Restoration” existed here around 1900. A restoration that time called an inn. It was called "Zum Schwan". Hilger Vogel was born in Thorr in 1873. In addition to the inn, he also traded in horses. He died in 1946. Then the Thorrer building contractor Hilmann Mandewirth bought the house.

architecture

As an agricultural property, the house was originally a square. Only the house has been preserved through renovation work. It is two-story, made of brick and is plastered. A central entrance, two side windows each on the ground floor and five windows on the upper floor structure the facade. Doors and windows are framed with stone frames. A sill cornice connects the windows on the upper floor.

The building is registered as a monument with monument number 102 in the list of architectural monuments in Thorr . The description reads:

Agricultural property located on a street corner, two-storey residential building, brick, on the eaves facing Zievericher Straße on one side of the square.
