Zigby the Zebra is an Australian-Canadian-Singaporean computer animation series about an anthropomorphic zebra . The series is based on books by the Scottish writer Brian Paterson. The zebra Zigby lives in a tree house on a tropical island and experiences various adventures with his friends, the guinea fowl Bertie and the meerkat Matze ( "McMeer" the meerkat ).

Production and publication

Mark Barnard directed the production for the Canadian company Zebra Productions . Simon Klaebe was responsible for editing and Robert Gandell was the artistic director.

The series is awarded internationally by Thunderbird Films. The German version was broadcast on KiKA for the first time on October 19, 2009 on weekdays. The 52nd episode was broadcast on November 23, 2009, followed by repetitions on KiKA and ZDF .
