The Zirah-Bouk is a dagger from India and Persia that was used as an armor piercer .
description
The Zirah-Bouk has a mixed blessing, at the place slightly curved, thick blade. The blade is smooth on the handle , without a central ridge or hollow grind. In the local area, the blade is diamond-shaped and reinforced in cross-section. The blades are often made of Wootz steel (cast Damascus). The place is shaped so that you can easily pierce chainmail with it. The booklet is made of metal or horn and is often decorated with Indian patterns made of silver or gold inlays ( koftgari ). Some variants of the Zirah-Bouk are made of full metal, from one piece.
