Zielinsky circle

The Zielinsky compass is a dental instrument for determining the floating position in the context of the jaw relation determination (formerly: bite registration) during skull analysis for the production of a full denture as a dental prosthesis . He is a caliper of a Dividers derived. The tips of the legs of this circle are bent. At the end of the compass there is a screw to fix the determined distance between the two legs. The circle is named after its developer, the Berlin dentist Walter Zielinsky (1883–1918), a student of Edward H. Angle (1855–1930).
