The Zoo de La Flèche (formerly Parc Zoologique du Tertre Rouge ) is an animal park with overnight accommodation in La Flèche in the Pays de la Loire region in western France .

The zoo was originally founded in 1946 by naturalist Jacques Bouillault, born in 1924. Since 1950 the zoo has owned about 50 animals and called itself Parc Zoologique du Tertre Rouge ( zoo park on the red hill) . Nowadays, the zoo is located in the middle of the forest, which houses over 1,600 animals from 160 animal species from five continents on an area of 18 hectares, including some rare breeds, reptiles, birds and mammals. a. The Zoo de La Flèche is now one of the most visited natural parks in France with currently 441,000 visitors in the 2017 season. It is the oldest private zoo in France and the third most visited tourist attraction in the Pays de la Loire region in 2015. In November 2017, the zoo was taken over by the amusement park chain Looping Group , which by 2020 raised another ten million euros in wants to invest in the zoo.
