Zou Lunlun

Zou Lunlun ( Chinese  鄒 倫倫  /  邹 伦伦 , Pinyin Zōu Lúnlún ) is considered one of the best Guzheng virtuosos. She played in the most famous concert halls and opera houses in the world. She often plays for the leading figures from politics and business.

Career

Zou was raised in a family that had played guzheng for four generations. She started learning guzheng at the age of two. Daily work, hours of practice, and discipline enabled her to graduate from Shenyang Conservatory , where she was tutored by Masters Zhao Yuzhai, Cao Zheng, Lu Diansheng, and Master Zhang Jinxia, ​​with the best grades.

After graduating from university in 1991, she was named Solo Guzheng Player of the Liaoning Dance Troup. In 1995 Zou went to New Zealand to play for the New Zealand National Museum, the New Zealand-Chinese Friendship Society, Orient Express Radio, the Gallery of Porirua and the Genghis Khan Cultural Heritage Exhibition. Two years later, she received an invitation from the President of New Zealand to play the opening ceremony of the Asian Arts Festival in the government building. In 1999, Zou Lunlun played for Jiang Zemin while visiting Sydney.

Zou Lunlun has won numerous prizes and awards. She regularly tours major cities in China, New Zealand and Australia and makes recordings for radio and television. During her stay in Australia, Zou founded "3 Sisters" - a group that plays traditional Chinese music, also with the East-West Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House.

Because of her love of music, Zou Lunlun is passionate about promoting the rich Chinese and Asian cultural heritage inside and outside of China.

In addition to her appearances, Zou Lunlun also teaches in Hong Kong.
