Criminal offenses committed by juveniles or adolescents are punished with disciplinary substances if the judge does not consider a juvenile sentence to be necessary, but the juvenile must be made aware that he is responsible for the injustice he has committed.

Breeding materials do not have the legal effects of a punishment (§ 13 III Youth Court Act (JGG)), but should be part of the two-lane system of sanctions in the JGG, education instead of punishment and education through punishment.

They include:

  • Warnings : Warnings are urgent formal reprimands with the allegation of injustice. For admonition is only a procedural difference: The warning is based on the judgment .
  • Conditions : Conditions are stricter warnings in the form of an act-related atonement . The conditions include reparation for the damage caused by the act, apologizing to the injured person, performing work and paying a sum of money in favor of a charitable organization.
  • Youth arrest : Youth arrest is a short-term deprivation of liberty with a debt-compensating and educational character. He is divided into three categories: short arrest (up to 6 consecutive days), leisure arrest (1–2 weekends) and permanent arrest (1–4 weeks).
