Encore

An adding referred concert operation , an additional, not in the program guide cited piece of music . Often these are previously planned encores.

Especially in pop music, but also in the field of “classical” music, the outstanding hits of the respective lecturers, which are particularly awaited by the audience, are often transferred to the encores. An example of this are the Blue Danube Waltz and the Radetzky March , which are never part of the official program of the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert , but have to be (apparently) “clapped” by the audience every year. For the Berliner Philharmoniker , this is the Marsch Berliner Luft, composed in 1904 .
