A TV show on ZDF was watched and built . The first program ran on November 9, 1974. Until 1979, the program ran every Saturday between two programs on ZDF.

Helmut Scheuer made an object such as stilts, a chest or children's toys in his hobby workshop. The explanation of the work steps was taken over by a speaker from the off . The length of the program varied between five and ten minutes, depending on the DIY project.
