Feelings of state

As a condition of feelings lasting states of ego qualities are longer designated with certain feelings associated, such. B. a state of our body that we ourselves constantly perceive as strong or weak, vital or exhausted. Feelings of state are in contrast to more temporary sensations that are not perceived as a "state" of oneself. The name goes back to Theodor Lipps (1851–1914) and was received by Kurt Schneider (1887–1967) in 1935 , who distinguished between pleasant and unpleasant feelings of state. Similar to zoenesthesia , the feelings are related to the own body, but cannot be localized there. Distraction cannot remove the “state”, such as tiredness, hunger, constant expectation or the feeling of senseless compulsion .
