Two lines (document)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the unofficial usage of the authorities, a two-line is a short letter to speed up the exchange of letters. Two lines do not necessarily have to consist of two lines, but are kept as short as possible. Usually these are routine or simple processes that can be answered briefly and concisely. Depending on the region, such letters are sometimes referred to as "three-line".
