The 200-mile race on the Salzburgring 1976 , also known as the Elan Trophy (Sports Car World Championship of the FIA), Salzburgring , took place on September 19 on the Salzburgring and was the 14th and final race of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The sports car world championship in 1976 ended with the race on the Salzburgring . The event was driven by sports cars and was the second race of the year in Austria . The Group 5 ran his race in the spring, which with the overall victory by Dieter Quester and Gunnar Nilsson in Schnitzer - BMW 3.5 CSL ended.
