Politics and world events
Roman Empire
- The consulate in the Roman Empire occurred on January 1 of Sextus Papinius Allenius and Quintus Plautius. In the second half of the year they were succeeded by Gaius Vettius Rufus and Marcus Porcius Cato as suffect consuls .
- The Cilician tribe of the Klites oppose tax collection . Lucius Vitellius , the imperial governor in Syria , looks after Marcus Trebellius with the military suppression of the unrest. The rebels are forced to surrender in the Taurus Mountains .
- Pontius Pilate forcibly dissolves a crowd in Samaria. The complaints about the bloody conflict reached Lucius Vitellius, the direct superior, who replaced the prefect in Judea with Marcellus . At the same time he replaces the Jewish high priest Kajaphas with his brother-in-law Jonathan ben Hannas.
Parthian Empire
- Using the Scythians sells Artabanos II. Against King Tiridates III. and again becomes ruler in the Parthian Empire .
China
