Roman Republic
- Lucius Lucretius Tricipitinus Flavus, Servius Sulpicius Camerinus, Lucius Aemilius Mamercinus, Lucius Furius Medullinus, Agrippa Furius Fusus and Gaius Aemilius Mamercinus become Roman consular tribunes .
- According to tradition, the former Roman dictator Marcus Furius Camillus , who is also considered the "second founder of Rome", was banished to Ardea for embezzlement .
Corinthian War in Greece
- Sparta and Athens negotiate to end the Corinthian War . The Attic speaker Andokides calls for the adoption of the agreed General Peace (koiné eiréne) . This would not only mean a cessation of the fighting, but would bring a lasting peace to all Greek cities based on the sovereignty of all city-states. However, the negotiated agreement is rejected.
- The Attic relief army reaches Corinth , whose port city Lechaion was captured by the Spartans. When a Spartan general led his regiment of 600 hoplites through Corinthia, the Attic commander Iphikrates took the chance and attacked the Spartans with his Peltasts . The units, only protected by light shields, have no trouble keeping the heavy hoplites at a distance and inflicting losses on them with their spears. When the Spartans finally reach Lechaion, 250 soldiers are killed ( Battle of Lechaion ).
- Iphikrates succeeds in conquering several Spartan bases in the Corinth area. Only the port city of Lechaion remains in enemy hands. This ends the fighting in this region.
- An army from Argos reaches Corinth. The two city-states decide to unite their domains.
Persian Empire
- Tiribazos is deposed as the Persian satrap of Lydia because of his prospartan attitude. In its place is the Athenian-friendly Struthas .

- Hakor becomes the Egyptian pharaoh as the successor to Psammuthis .
