A-Trak (born March 30, 1982 ), real name Alain Macklovitch , is a DJ from the Canadian city ​​of Montreal . Together with Armand Van Helden, he forms the Duck Sauce project .

Life

At the age of 13 he bought his first turntables and the first mixer . At a young age he made a name for himself on the international stage and became the youngest DMC World Champion as the first Canadian DJ alongside DJ Qbert, Roc Raida and DJ Noize . During his high school years, Alain joined The Invisible Scratch Piklz Crew at Qbert. He soon separated again to found his own called The Allies , with which he celebrated great success in the years to come. Members of this crew included DJ Craze and other friends of the DJ.

At the age of 18, Alain already had five world titles and was taken on tour by Kanye West in 2004 . The latest development was the establishment of the label Fools Gold , known with The Cool Kids , Kid Sister , Chromeo , Crookers or Kid Cudi .

Since 2009 he has also been running the joint music project Duck Sauce together with the DJ and producer Armand Van Helden . It was founded in New York in 2009.
