history
The Rietberg office was established in 1843 as part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia in the Wiedenbrück district. The office was dissolved on December 31, 1969 by the law on the reorganization of the Wiedenbrück district and parts of the Bielefeld district . The legal successor is the city of Rietberg.
