Andreas Fröhlich attended the Wald-Gymnasium in Berlin and began training as an actor after graduating from school, but did not finish it. At the age of seven he was discovered in the children's choir of the Sender Free Berlin and quickly established himself as a children's voice in the radio play editorial team there.
