Anna King
Anna König (born January 25, 1980 in Kandel , Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a German actress , speaker and blogger.
Life
Anna König studied acting from 2001 at what was then the University of Music and Theater in Zurich , completing her studies in 2005. During her studies she received a scholarship from the Zürcher Theaterverein in 2002/03 and from 2003 to 2005 a member of the ensemble of the Theater an der Sihl in Zurich. In 2004 she received the Armin Ziegler Foundation's Acting Award. After completing her studies, she worked at the Schauspielhaus Zurich , the Thalia Theater in Hamburg , the Freiburg Theater and the Grillo Theater in Essen , among others .
She made her debut in a feature film in 2009 in the role of Hanna in the television film Stars above the Ice by Sigi Rothemund . She had her first leading film role at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival in 2015, which premiered the feature film Das Floß! by director Julia C. Kaiser . Anna König and Julia Becker play a couple who are preparing their wedding and spending the hen party on a raft, including the sperm donor for the child they have planned together.
In 5 women (2016) by Olaf Kraemer , she had another leading role as one of the five friends. Again under the direction of Julia C. Kaiser, she played the female lead Anna in 2016 alongside Till Butterbach as Hans in Die Hannas . The film is about a long-time couple, known by their friends as the Hannas , and their relationship that has fallen asleep. For her portrayal in Die Hannas und 5 Frauen , Anna König was nominated at the Munich Film Festival 2016 for the New German Cinema Award in the category Best Acting Performance . For her role as Anna in Die Hannas she was awarded the New Berlin Film Award for best actress at the Achtung Berlin Film Festival , best actor was film partner Till Butterbach.
In 2017, she was seen in the role of pathologist Edda Heimann in the Netflix series Dark by Baran bo Odar . In the ZDF television film Chaos-Queens - Lies That Come From the Heart , she again played the leading female role alongside Tim Bergmann in 2018 . In the Katie Fforde film The Child of Others (2019) from the Herzkino series, she played the role of lawyer and mediator Ella West alongside Ole Eisfeld as her husband Adrian.
