Anne Jennifer Valentino (* 7. May 1956 in Chatham , Kent , England as Anne Jennifer Beckingham better known as Anne Dudley ) is a British composer and pop musician.

Life

Anne Dudley is best known internationally through the group The Art of Noise , of which she was a member.

Anne Dudley began her career as a classical composer, but later moved into the field of composition for commercials and worked as a studio musician . At this time she met producer Trevor Horn and worked with him for bands like ABC and Frankie Goes to Hollywood . Furthermore, she was a founding member of the group The Art of Noise, which had a special focus on synthesizer and sample music. She also worked with the Pet Shop Boys very often , especially on songs that included an orchestra.

Since 1987 she has mainly composed film music and has been involved in more than 50 film and television productions. In 2004 she produced and composed the album Voice by Alison Moyet . Anne Dudley and Alison Moyet are neighbors.

Between January 2002 and January 2005 she was a composer for the BBC Concert Orchestra .

For the film music for the film All or Not at all , Anne Dudley received the Oscar in the category “ Best Film Music (Comedy) ” at the 1998 Academy Awards .
