Antonio Suárez Vázquez (born May 20, 1932 in Madrid ; † January 6, 1981 there ) was a Spanish cyclist .

Career

His most important success was winning the overall classification of the Tour of Spain in 1959, in which he also won the mountain classification. In 1961 he was able to win the points classification on this tour. Between 1959 and 1961 he was Spanish road champion three times in a row. At the Tour of Italy in 1961, he not only won one stage, but was also the first Spaniard to make it onto the podium in third place overall.
