history

Church of Anzing

A hammer from the Neolithic Age is one of the oldest finds in the Anzing area, suggesting a settlement. In 2012 a skeleton was found that was dated to around 2000 BC.

On April 23, 812, the first documentary mention was made “in loco anzinga”. The certificate is the will of the church servant Suuidhart in which he makes a donation to the Freising Hochstift :

"Since I, the deacon Suuidhart, reflect in the name of God and am concerned about my future life, so that my soul deserves a little consolation in eternal life, I therefore have my personal inheritance in the place of Anzing for the always Blessed Virgin Mary my mother Kerlind left behind as an inheritance belonging to me, that is: a yard with a house and all buildings as well as the household appliances and half of the demarcated properties that belong to this house, and also six unfree in the house and four good for service equipped farmsteads. "

Two noble families played a role in Anzing: the Sonderndorfer and the Höger . The Sonderndorfer / Sunderndorfer were first mentioned in 1180 in a deed of donation to Ebersberg. "Sunderndorf" roughly means "southern village" and it was in the southern part of Anzing that they probably had their seat until 1621. Accordingly, the district is still sometimes referred to as "Unterdorf". The Sunderndorfer are considered to be the builders of the first Marienkirche Anzings.

In 1676, Franz Benedikt and Hans Benno Höger , who came from a Munich trading family, were raised to the nobility by Elector Ferdinand Maria . From 1633 to 1783 the family had their seat in Anzing. The Högerisches Schloss with moat and bridge stood on today's western edge of the village. In addition, the Höger chapel and a castle on the Kaisersberg were built.

The current Catholic parish church of the Birth of Mary was built between 1677 and 1681 and houses a five-part bronze bell in the tower in the tone sequence c sharp '- e' - f sharp '- g sharp' - h '.

The place belonged to the Rentamt München and the regional court of Swabia . In the course of the administrative reforms , Anzing became an independent political municipality in the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1818 .

After the Second World War , numerous refugees from the former German eastern regions came to Anzing. Their accommodation turned out to be difficult. The Allied occupation forces organized the distribution of the refugees to the local families.

Population development

Between 1988 and 2018 the community grew from 3,102 to 4,429 by 1,327 inhabitants or 42.8%.

The coat of arms was only approved by the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior on March 15, 1967 based on a draft by heraldist C. Blessing. The official description of the coat of arms reads:

"The coat of arms shows a red armored, black lion growing out of the lower edge of the shield on a golden background, above it two diagonally crossed blue lilies."

The Anzing coat of arms is a combination of the coats of arms of the old noble families of Anzings. The lily wands come from the Sundernorf coat of arms, the black and red lion from the Höger coat of arms.
