The Apostolic Prefecture of the Falkland Islands ( latin Apostolica de praefectura Insulis Falkland seu Malvinis ) is on the Falkland Islands situated Roman Catholic Apostolic Prefecture based in Stanley .

It was founded on January 10, 1952. The archipelago was previously part of the diocese of Punta Arenas . The jurisdiction of the prefecture also includes South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands .

Even before the foundation of the Apostolic Prefecture, various orders were missionary in this area. The Salesians of Don Bosco evangelized on the Falkland Islands from 1888 until the Apostolic Prefecture was founded in 1952. The Mill Hill missionaries ministered from 1952 to 2002 when the Episcopal Conference of England and Wales took full responsibility for the Church in the Falkland Islands. The Apostolic Prefect has also been Superior of the Mission sui juris St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha since 1986 .

There is a parish and a church on the Falkland Islands: St. Mary's Parish with the church of the same name in Stanley . About 230 people belong to the community.
