The Geneva Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Geneva from May 21 to 27, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week were in Lyon , the Open Parc Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Lyon played that just like the Geneva Open to category ATP World Tour 250 counted.

The defending champions were Stan Wawrinka in singles and Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 482,060 euros; the financial obligations amounted to 540,310 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place on May 19 and 20, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser, as Viktor Troicki withdrew his participation.
