Freiburg-Schauinsland hill climb 1965

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Won 1965 on the Schauinsland pass summit; Ludovico Scarfiotti

The hill climb Freiburg-Schauinsland , also Bergpreis Freiburg-Schauinsland , was a hill climb that was held on August 8, 1965. At the same time, the race was the 15th round of the sports car world championship this year.

The race

The mountain race in Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald was on a former Holzabfuhrweg , today's L124 from Horben to Schauinsland was conducted -Passhöhe, with 780 meters of altitude to twelve kilometer of track had to be overcome. In 1965 the race was part of the GT classification of the sports car world championship. The GT vehicles, divided into several racing classes, had to drive through the track twice. Touring cars only had to conquer the mountain once and were therefore not included in the World Sports Car Championship. In the race itself, however, the cars were classified.

The Appreciation won Ludovico Scarfiotti in work - Ferrari Dino 206P , prior Gerhard Mitter in Porsche 904/8 Bergspyder and the South Tyrolean Herbert Demetz , one Abarth 2000OT drove.
