action
A couple of women take on their boss Roger Ailes , the CEO of Fox News , and fight against a depraved male culture that he represents in this network of media.
background
1996 was Roger Ailes for Rupert Murdoch the channel Fox News designed, whose CEO he was. Under Ailes' leadership, Fox News became the most successful news channel in the United States. In July 2016, allegations of sexual harassment against Ailes became known. He is said to have sexually molested the presenter Gretchen Carlson , who in 2016, since dismissed, filed a lawsuit against Ailes. After other employees of the station, including Megyn Kelly , joined the allegations, Ailes resigned from all functions at Fox News on July 21, 2016. Ailes received $ 40 million in severance payment from Murdoch. In the fictional character Kayla Pospisil, around 20 real people were merged into a single figure in order to make it possible with this trick to depict the experiences of those affected who had to sign a declaration of confidentiality or were not allowed to appear in the film for personal reasons.
