Claus von Wagner
Claus Joachim von Wagner (born November 28, 1977 in Munich ) is a German cabaret artist .
Life
Claus von Wagner grew up in Miesbach in Upper Bavaria as the son of north German parents (father a lawyer , mother a housewife ). After graduating from high school, he took up a master's degree at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich with the subjects of communication sciences , modern and contemporary history and media law , which he completed in 2003 with the academic degree Magister Artium ; the topic of his master's thesis was: Political cabaret on German television. Between social criticism and self-promotion. An expert survey . Before and during the studies, the first cabaret program was created in 1997: Waiting for Majola . Parallel to his solo career, he was an ensemble member of the First German Forced Ensemble from 2004 to 2014 . The trio consisted of Claus von Wagner and his colleagues Mathias Tretter and Philipp Weber .
Von Wagner has been part of the heute show since March 2012 . Since February 2014 he can be seen alongside Max Uthoff as the new host of the cabaret show Die Anstalt on ZDF .
Claus von Wagner lives in Munich and has a daughter.

- In 1997/98 the first cabaret program Waiting for Majola was born .

- In 2004 the ensemble program Mach 3 was created! of the First German Compulsory Ensemble.

- From 2009 to 2014 he played the program The Last Tour with the First German Forced Ensemble .

On December 22nd, 2014, Claus von Wagner spoke with Max Uthoff at the Anti-Pegida demo in Munich. Regarding Pegida , he said on stage that if one wanted to defend the West with misanthropic slogans, "What else is there to defend?"
