Coilate-Letelo ( Coilate-Leotelo , Kailete Leotela ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Hatulia ( municipality of Ermera ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Coilate-Letelo had an area of ​​26.97 km². Now it is 27.98 km². The Suco is located in the southeast of the Hatulia administrative office. To the northwest lie the Sucos Manusae , Hatolia Vila and Samara , to the south the Sucos Leimea-Craic and Leimea-Sarinbalo . In the east, Coilate-Letelo borders the administrative offices of Ermera with its Sucos Leguimea , Estado and Raimerhei and Letefoho with its Suco Hatugau . The Meipu River rises in the border area to Raimerhei , which then forms the entire border to the south. The Aiboro rises in the border area to Hatolia Vila and forms the northern border until it meets the Meipu. Small rivers that have their source in Coilate-Letelo flow into both. The Lahosa flows along the northern tip of the Sucos . The rivers all belong to the Lóis system .

The country road that connects the towns of Ermera and Hatolia Vila runs through the extreme north of Coilate-Letelo . The village of Gotuhaci ( Gomhaei ) lies on it and a little to the south the places Raegoa ( Regoa ) and Teuro . In the center are the villages of Aihatadiu Leten ( "Upper Aihatadiu" ), Aihatadiukraik ( Aihatadiukraic , "Lower Aihatadiu" ), Manulete , Betupu , Hau-Hei ( Hau Hei , Haeheu ) and Manucate ( Manucati ). There are elementary schools in Teuro and Hau-Hei, Hau-Hei also has a medical station and a makeshift helipad.

In the Suco there are the seven Aldeias Aihatadiu , Cletrema , Hau-Hei , Manucate , Manulete , Raegoa and Teuro .

Residents

3938 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 2005 are men and 1933 women. The population density is 140.8 inhabitants / km². There are 666 households in the Suco. Over 73% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Over 20% speak Tetum Prasa , almost 5% Kemak and a small minority speak Idalaka .

history

In 1976 the Indonesian invaders also reached Hatulia. In May, Indonesian troops attacked Coilate-Letelo. 200 people were surrounded and could not escape. They were first imprisoned in the village and later brought to Letefoho.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Januario M. Sarmento was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Abel Maria da Costa .
