Danne Hoffmann , formerly also Danne Suckel , (born October 16, 1968 in East Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Danne Hoffmann is the daughter of the actress Uta Schorn and the actor Tim Hoffmann (1943–2015). From 1989 to 1991/92 she completed her acting studies at the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig . She finished her studies early and was a member of the Halle Drama Studio for a year in 1992.

From the 1992/93 season onwards she was engaged by artistic director Peter Sodann as a permanent member of the ensemble at the Neue Theater Halle , to which she has belonged without interruption ever since. Her roles there included a. Kunigunde von Thurneck in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (premiere: 1994/95 season, director: Vadim Glowna ), Claire Zachanassian in The Visit of the Old Lady (premiere: 1997/98 season, director: Hansjörg Utzerath , with Hilmar Eichhorn as Alfred Ill) , Lady Milford in Kabale und Liebe (premiere: 2006/07 season, director: Enrico Lübbe ), Charlotte von Stein in A Conversation at Haus Stein about the absent Herr von Goethe (premiere: 2006/07 season, director: Frieder Venus ), Irina Nikolayevna Arkadina in Die Möwe (premiere: 2006/07 season, director: Christoph Werner ), the Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (premiere: 2009/10 season, director: Herbert Fritsch ) and Karin Thimm in Die bitteren Tänen der Petra von Kant ( Premiere: 2011/12 season, director: Maik Priebe )

She also played numerous roles there, including male roles, in comedies and comedies, with which she had great success with audiences in Halle, such as Eugen Rümpel in Pension Schöller (director: Frieder Venus), the mother in Das Haus in Montevideo (director: Herbert Fritsch ) and Emanuela Striese in The Rape of the Sabine Women (premiere: 2008/09 season, director: Herbert Fritsch).

In the 2013/14 season she worked at the Halle Opera in the musical tragic comedy Ewig jung . In March / April 2014 she played the role of the cancer patient Miki in the German-language premiere of the musical Happy Ending by Anat Gov at the New Theater Halle . From February 2015 to June 2016 she played the role of Miss Bell in the musical Fame at the Halle Opera House (director: Henriette Hörnigk ).

In the 2014/15 season (premiere: May 2015) she took on the role of Blanche DuBois in Endstation Sehnsucht (director: Andreas Rehschuh ) at the Neuen Theater Halle , alongside Alexander Gamnitzer as Stanley Kowalski. In the 2015/16 season she premiered in May 2016 at the Neuen Theater Halle with the play Der nackte Wahnsinn by Michael Frayn in the role of Dotty Otley (Mrs. Clackett). In the 2015/16 season she was seen at the New Theater Halle as Avdotja Romanowna Raskolnikowa (Dunja) in Schuld und Atonement (premiere: February 2016).

Occasionally Hoffmann also took on film roles. In the first few years of the successful series, she was seen in two episode roles in the television series In all friendship : in 1999 as a former nurse and young mother Karin Ortmann and again in 2002 as Frau Freitag, whose husband dies after a pulmonary embolism . In the movie Bibi Blocksberg and the secret of the blue owls (2004) she had a supporting role as Mrs. Jahn. This was later followed by episode roles in the series Krimi.de (2005–2007), SOKO Leipzig (2006) and the Dr. Kleist (2008).

In the movie Als wir träumten (2015), a film about a Leipzig boy clique (consisting of Dani, Rico, Mark and Paul) in the early days of the reunification, she played Mark's mother ( Joel Basman ). In January 2017 Hoffmann was seen in the ZDF series SOKO Leipzig in a supporting role; she played the Protestant pastor Katja Böddener, who, together with the Leipzig imam , calls for a prayer for peace against violence.

Hoffmann also works as an acting lecturer and acting coach. In addition to her acting activities , she is also active as a speaker for radio plays (including in the radio Tatort ) and in advertising. In September 2011 she appeared at a reading with Harry Rowohlt , Robert Stadlober , Henning Peker and Thomas Ebermann at Conne Island .

Danne Hoffmann also worked at times under her former married name Suckel .
