Echtz-Konzendorf is a district and a district of the city of Düren in the district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1972, Echtz-Konzendorf was a municipality in the old Düren district .
geography
Echtz-Konzendorf consists of the two places Echtz and Konzendorf , which are located in the west of the city of Düren and are about one kilometer apart. The former community now forms a district of Düren. On the southern outskirts of Echtz is the Echtzer See , a residual lake of the former lignite opencast mine Alfred , in which lignite was mined from 1918 to 1941 .
history
The community of Echtz , which was renamed Echtz-Konzendorf after the Second World War, had existed in the mayor's office of Echtz (from 1928 Amt Echtz ) in the Düren district since the 19th century . On January 1, 1972, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Düren by the Aachen Act .
