The Eldora Speedway , also known as The Big E and Auto Racing's Showcase since 1954 , is a motorsport race track in Rossburg , Ohio . The Eldora Speedway is a 0.5 mile (0.8 km) long clay oval that opened in 1954. The route offers permanent space for 20,000 people, and additional spaces can be added or the hills along the route can be used. Races like "The King's Royal", "The Dirt Late Model Dream", "Four-Crown Nationals" and "The World 100" are held on the track. It is not uncommon for around 200 drivers to try to take part in “The World 100”.

The NASCAR driver Tony Stewart bought the track in 2004, the previous owner was Earl Baltes (1921-2015), who had the track built 50 years earlier. Since then, new display and advertising panels have been added to curve two. In addition, there is a renewed protective fence and a new lighting system for yellow phases.

Prelude to the Dream

The Prelude to the Dream , in which money goes to Kyle Petty's Victory Junction Gang Camp , a facility for terminally ill children, also takes place on the Speedway.
