Faturasa (Faturaça) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Remexio ( Aileu municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Faturasa had an area of ​​48.35 km². Now there are 48.37 km². The Suco is located in the southeast of the Remexio administrative office. To the north is the Suco Tulataqueo , northwest of the Suco Acumau and west of the Suco Fadabloco . In the south, Faturasa borders on the administrative office of Lequidoe with its Suco Faturilau . In the east lies the municipality of Manatuto with its administrative offices Laclo (Sucos Hohorai and Uma Naruc ) and Laclubar (Suco Funar ). The river Lohun flows along the northern border , along the western border of the Hatomeco , which then swings to the east and follows the southern border, before joining the Noru , which forms the remaining southern border. The Sulinsorei, which rises in the center of Faturasa, also flows into it . All rivers are part of the Northern Laclós system .

There are no major overland roads that connect the Suco with the outside world. North of the Sulinsorei are the villages of Caitaso ( Kaitasu ), Raemerhei ( Raimerahai , Raimerabei ) and Luquisa ( Luqinsa ). To the west of this is Faculau ( Facu Lau , Fakulau ), which also houses the Sucos primary school, the Escola Primaria Faculau , and a medical station. In the northwest are the villages Lebometa and Bereliço ( Berelisa , Berelisu ), at the southeast tip, at the confluence of the Noru in the northern Lacló, the place Sibatecon ( Sibarceon ).

The four Aldeias Bereliço , Caitaso , Faculau and Raemerhei are located in the Suco .

Residents

1125 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 565 are men and 560 women. The population density is 23.3 inhabitants / km². There are 165 households in the Suco. About 95% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Idaté below 5% .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Florindo M. do Rego was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Elfonso Henriques won and in 2016 Nazario da Silva .
