Before the 2015 regional reform, Faturilau had an area of 77.60 km². Now there are 65.71 km². The Suco Faturilau is located in the east of the Lequidoe administrative office. To the west is the Suco Bereleu . In the north, Faturilau borders the administrative office of Remexio with its sucos Hautoho , Fadabloco and Faturasa . In the east lies the administrative office Laclubar, belonging to the municipality of Manatuto, with its Sucos Funar and Fatumaquerec . In the south are the administrative office Turiscai belonging to the municipality of Manufahi with its Sucos Fatucalo , Lessuata , Liurai and Caimauc and the administrative office Maubisse belonging to the municipality of Ainaro with its Suco Maulau .

On the eastern border, the North Lacló , one of the most important rivers in the north of East Timor, emerges from the confluence of the Eratihama Brille and Hatobutaban . The other rivers of the Sucos also flow into it. Along the southern border to Caimauc and Lessuata, the Lana flows first , into which the border rivers to Maulau, Daisoli and Faturilau, Suruha , Nauha and Karama flow. The Lana eventually becomes the Eratihama clean. Coming from Bereleu, the Orlaquru and the Pahikele flowing into it flow to Faturilau . As the Orlaunic , the river later flows into the Eratihama clean. The northern border is formed by the Coumai , which later flows into the northern Lacló as Noru on the border with Manatuto.

The only two larger settlements in Suco are the villages of Caimera ( Kaimera ) and Lebumeran in the northwest of Faturilau. The Sucos elementary school and a helipad for emergencies are also located here. There are no major roads to connect to the outside world. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , for example, the ballot boxes had to be brought to the polling station in the Sucos headquarters with porters and horses and then picked up again.

The two Aldeias Cairema and Lebumeran are located in the Suco .
