Before the regional reform in 2015, Fatumaquerec had an area of 79.62 km². Now there are 87.78 km². The Suco is divided into two separate territories. The much larger western part forms the southwest of the Laclubar administrative office. To the north is the Suco Funar and northeast of the Suco Manelima . In the east, the western territory borders the Soibada administrative office with its Sucos Maun-Fahe and the Suco, also called Fatumaquerec . In the north-west of the municipality of Aileu is the Lequidoe administrative office with its Suco Faturilau . In the west and south lies the municipality of Manufahi , with the administrative office Turiscai with its sucos Fatucalo and Matorec in the west and the administrative office Fatuberlio with its sucos Caicassa and Fatucahi in the south . The northern tip of the West territory extends to the river Hatobutaban , a source river of Northern Laclos . The Buarahum rises on the border with Funar and follows the border to the southeast. As soon as it forms the border with Manelima, it is called Buarahuin . It belongs to the system of sowing . The Werhaumalak rises in the west of Fatumaquerec and flows into the Clere , as well as numerous small rivers , the border river to the Matorec and Caicassa, which later becomes the Clerec . The region, which is up to 1775  m high, is poorly connected to the outside world. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , the ballot boxes had to be brought and picked up by helicopter to the polling station in the Escola Primaria Fatumaquerec primary school . Like a medical station, the school is located in the far north of Sucos. They are located in Darfu .

The smaller eastern part lies on the eastern border of the Laclubar administrative office. To the northwest lies the Suco Batara and south of the Suco Orlalan . In the northeast, the eastern territory borders on the administrative office of Manatuto with its Suco Cribas and in the east on the administrative office of Barique with its suco of the same name . On the western border, the Sumasse forms from two tributaries , which forms the border with Batara and is an important tributary of the Northern Laclós. The country road that connects Laclubar and Manatuto leads through the middle of the eastern part of Fatumaquerec . The towns of Laramera ( Larmera ), Lisuata , Manukasak and Sasahi ( Sahasi ) are located on it.
