Fearless is a piece of music on the 1971 music album Meddle by the British rock band Pink Floyd . It is the third track on the album and was released as a single together with One of These Days .

Text and music

Fearless is a rather calm piece, broken up by louder guitar passages . Built into the song by two insertions, one before and one after the real text, you can hear the songs of the piece You'll Never Walk Alone by the fans of Liverpool FC . This song by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II , originally conceived as a prayer , fits in well with Fearless with its cheering message . The lyrics and the music are by the bassist Roger Waters and the guitarist David Gilmour .

publication

Fearless was released as a single with One of These Days . It also appeared on the later album Works . In fact, the band never played it live. It wasn't until 2016 that Roger Waters added the piece to the setlist of his solo tour.
