Feldkirch Poetry Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Feldkirch Poetry Prize is a poetry prize that has been awarded in the city of Feldkirch in Vorarlberg since 2003 .

The poetry award

The poetry prize initiated by the artist and writer Erika Kronabitter has been awarded by the Theater am Saumarkt in Feldkirch since 2003 . Sponsors are the Austrian federal government , Vorarlberg government institutions, banks and a private foundation.

The literature prize is advertised internationally. The changing jury consists of Germanists and authors as well as last year's winner. The award winners are presented to the public at a public reading event each autumn. The Vorarlberg State Library archives the winning texts.

Since 2008 Erika Kronabitter has been publishing an anthology with the award-winning texts in the Austrian publishing house Edition Art Science in the Lyrik der Gegenwart series . The texts from 2003 to 2007 appeared in the first volume, after which the editor published one volume per year with an overview of the best entries.
