Football League First Division 1913/14

The Football League First Division 1914/15 was the 27th season of the highest English football league and the last season before the interruption caused by the First World War until 1919. It began on September 1, 1914 and ended on April 28, 1915.

The Everton won with one point ahead of Oldham Athletic the second English championship in their history. Both newly promoted Notts County and Bradford Park Avenue were able to receive the class. Due to the league expansion from 20 to 22 clubs for the 1919/20 season, only the bottom of the table Tottenham Hotspur had to go to the Second Division . With Derby County , Preston North End and Arsenal FC there should be three newcomers.

A total of 452 players were used, with The Wednesday with 16 the fewest and Manchester City with 27 the most players in league games. 98 newcomers were opposed to 190 footballers who last came into play in the 1914/15 season. 15 players were able to play all 38 league games of their club.

The championship team of Everton FC

The following list lists all players who played in a league game for Everton during the 1914/15 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
