Fouad Bachirou (born April 15, 1990 in Valence , France ) is a Comorian football player . The midfielder has played his career in France, Scotland and Sweden.

Career

Bachirou grew up in the Paris suburb of Clichy , where he started playing soccer at USA Clichy . He later moved to the youth department of Paris Saint-Germain . There he moved up to the adult division in 2006, when he was used in the reserve team of the capital's club in the Championnat de France Amateur . However, he did not appear in the Ligue 1 competitive team under Guy Lacombe or his successor Paul Le Guen , the head coach of the PSG professional team .

In the summer of 2010, Bachirou moved to the Scottish club Greenock Morton in the second-rate First Division . Although he was only used irregularly in the championship, he still convinced the club officials and after one season the contract, which expired in summer 2011, was extended for another year. As a result he was used more often under coach Allan Moore . Nevertheless, the club and player who wanted to look for a new challenge split briefly after the expiration of the contract in 2012, before both parties agreed on a new collaboration in August. In the second division season 2012/13 he was runner- up with the team behind Partick Thistle and qualified for the newly introduced Scottish Championship as the second highest division. At the end of September, he and his teammate Nicolas Caraux extended their contracts with the club until 2015. However, there was no success in the 2013/14 second division season when the club ended the season on the relegation zone as the bottom of the table with only six wins in 36 games. Bachirou was one of the most frequently used players in all competitions and moved into the focus of the Fédération Comorienne de Football , so that he made his debut in the Comorian national team in spring 2014 .

After Bachirou had completed pre-season preparation in Scotland, he moved to Sweden in early August 2014, where he joined the second division side Östersunds FK . At his new club he was quickly one of the regulars under coach Graham Potter and played ten games by the end of the second division season in 2015 . In the following season he was used in 29 of the 30 season games and was therefore instrumental in the first promotion to the Allsvenskan . After the end of the 2016 season, he extended his contract in November to the end of 2019. In May of the following year, he moved into the final of the Swedish Football Cup with the club . While he missed the game due to injury, the team won the title with which the club won for the first time with a 4-1 win over IFK Norrköping with goals from Samuel Mensah , Hosam Aiesh , Alhaji Gero and Saman Ghoddos in a goal from Linus Wahlqvist qualified for the European Cup. In the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League , the team then reached the group stage after successes over Galatasaray Istanbul , CS Fola Esch and PAOK Thessaloniki and even survived this and others. a. against Hertha BSC . Nevertheless, he left the club during the winter break and joined record champions and league rivals Malmö FF .
