history
Friedelsheim was first mentioned in a document on June 24, 770 in the Lorsch Codex . During the time of the tribal duchies, the place was in the Duchy of Franconia .

- The bakery and the historic smithy are open on the last Saturday of the month (except December).
- The Friedelsheimer Weinkerwe , a wine festival , is celebrated on the third Sunday in August .
- As part of the Weinkerwe, the free Rock am Weiher festival has been taking place since 1995 .
- On the second Advent there is a Christmas market at the Protestant church.

The federal motorway 650 to Ludwigshafen am Rhein connects Friedelsheim to the national road network. In the direction of Bad Dürkheim , federal road 271 leads west of Friedelsheim and federal road 37 to the north .
The town is also connected to rail traffic by the Rhein-Haardtbahn ( Mannheim - Bad Dürkheim ), a narrow-gauge railway.
