The Lake Geneva Region ( French Région Lémanique ) is a large region in Switzerland . According to the classification of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), it comprises the areas of the cantons of Vaud , Valais and Geneva , i.e. it represents part of French-speaking Switzerland (French-speaking Switzerland) and German-speaking Switzerland .
