Hans Rothbart

Hans Rothbart (* December 16, 1846 in Coburg ; † February 22, 1904 ibid) was a German architect and court official in the service of Duke Alfred of Edinburgh, Saxe-Coburg and Gotha .

Live and act

Hans Rothbart, son of the Gotha court councilor Georg Konrad Rothbart was born in 1846 at the Veste Coburg . He attended the Ernestinum secondary school in Coburg until 1862 and then studied at the Coburg building trade school , where his father was director. As a 25-year-old he was already chairman of the ducal private office and president of the ducal cabinet, but continued to work for civic clients.

In 1895 Rothbart was appointed castle captain of Coburg and Gotha and thus took over the administration of the ducal buildings, gardens and facilities and the supervision of the scientific collections of the Veste Coburg .
