The Harrison County is a county in the US state of Iowa . At the 2010 census , the county had 14,928 people and a population density of 8.3 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Logan , named after General John A. Logan .

Harrison County is part of the metropolitan area of Omaha-Council Bluffs .

Harrison

Harrison County was formed in 1851 from former parts of Pottawattamie County. It was named after William H. Harrison (1773–1841), the ninth President of the USA (1841).
