Hedjetnebu was buried in Mastaba K in the Djedkare family cemetery in Abusir . This has a grave shaft slightly north of the center, which leads to the centrally located sarcophagus chamber. The burial chapel consists of a vestibule with a storage room to the north and a sacrificial room to the south. There is a serdab on the south side of the sacrificial room . Fragments of a false door were discovered in the sacrificial room and a wooden statue of Hedjetnebus was discovered in the Serdab.

The remains of Hedjetnebu's mummy were found at the bottom of the grave shaft . An anthropological study found the age at death to be 18 or 19 years.
