Heinrich Fischer (politician, 1812)

Heinrich Fischer (born January 29, 1812 in Wiesbaden ; † June 20, 1883 ibid) was a German bookseller, publisher and politician (moderate democrat). From January 15, 1849 to July 22, 1868 he was mayor of Wiesbaden.

Heinrich Fischer was born as the son of the scribe and hospital administrator Christian Wilhelm Fischer. Heinrich Fischer worked as a book and map dealer in his hometown. He also worked as a co-editor of the Freie Zeitung.
