Herbert Graedtke

Herbert Graedtke (born December 9, 1941 in Altlandsberg ) is a German actor , director , artistic director and speech trainer .

Life

After his spent in the countryside childhood was Graedtke who wanted to film, from 1960 to 1963 to study at the film school in Babelsberg . He received his first film role there from the director Richard Groschopp , when he played the gang member with the nickname wart in the crime film Die Glatzkopfbande . He also played in the contemporary comedy On the Sunny Side in 1961 and in the fairy tale film Frau Holle in 1963 , where he was Mathias. Graedtke played Erik in Joachim Herz's opera adaptation of Wagner's opera “ Der Fliegende Holländer ” (DEFA 1964). While he was already working for the DEFA Babelsberg feature film studio from 1960 , after graduating from 1963 to 1965 he was also employed as a youth hero or character actor for the Zeitz City Theater .

Filming in Dresden brought Graedtke into the Elbe Valley, where he auditioned at the Saxony State Theaters in Radebeul in 1965 and was engaged. Around 400 roles at the parent company in Radebeul, on the Rathen rock stage or on the occasion of guest performances by the travel theater followed. In addition, he was involved in theater play with amateur groups. Various film and television films, for example for Police Call 110 or Tatort, followed.

In Radebeul, where he settled, Graedtke founded a family that now has four children.

Even after he retired in 2006 at the age of 65, he did not give up acting entirely. Since then he sings and plays a. a. at the State Operetta Dresden and the Comödie Dresden . At the wine festival in Hoflößnitz he gave the Saxon wine specialist and vineyard clerk Johann Paul Knohll . In addition to his work as co-initiator of the Sternritt on the occasion of the annual Karl May Festival in Lößnitzgrund , he also opens the autumn and wine festival on the Anger von Kötzschenbroda , where he gives Bacchus , the god of wine, for three days .

In 2006 his hometown honored him with the art prize of the large district town of Radebeul .

Graedtke is a member of the city council for the SPD in Radebeul. He has been a member of the Schlaraffia artists' association since December 1, 2016 .
