Holger-Ralf Ehrhardt (born April 11, 1967 in Ilmenau ) is a German journalist and radio host .

Life

As a genuine Thuringian, he lived and lived for many years in Langewiesen / Thür., Where he attended the ten-class polytechnic high school from 1973 to 1983. He then began an apprenticeship as an electrician at VEB Graf von Henneberg Porzellan Ilmenau, which he successfully completed in February 1986 with a skilled worker certificate. During his army service he made contact with television in the GDR , where he completed a traineeship .

From 1990 to 1993 he worked successfully for the "Anzeiger für Thüringen", with various local editions, for the daily newspaper "Freies Wort" in Suhl and for the "Neue Presse" in Coburg . During this time he also ran the local newspaper "Die Henne" for over a year. For the Anzeiger he created the TV and youth website "Discodrom", which enjoyed great popularity and took into account the current trends in music, cinema and TV. He completed a second traineeship with the daily newspaper "Neue Presse" and learned the tools of the journalist's trade. For "Free Word" and "Neue Presse", the "Thuringian Hit Parade" and "Franconian Hit Parade", which he initiated, were also published on the youth pages "Sticker" (NP) and "Direkt" (FW).

In 1993 he switched to radio and became a reporter and presenter at "Antenne Thüringen" in Weimar . His own program "Die DDR Kracher" with co-presenter Sabine Meinold started in November and was broadcast once a month with great success.

At Landeswelle Thuringia in Erfurt , which began regular broadcasting on March 21, 1995, Holger-Ralf Ehrhardt was one of the first moderators. Here he moderated the "desire program" as well as the program "Jugendliebe - Die Hits aus dem Osten", which he designed and edited, and which was broadcast weekly on Sundays. In addition to a lot of music and a puzzle, he also welcomed numerous former singers in the studio for an interview, such as Muck, Jörg Hindemith, Veronika Fischer, Tamara Danz, Herbert Dreilich and Peter Tschernig. In September, "Hitwelle - Top 15 - Hörerhitparade" started a second program he had designed. Together with Michael Kraus, he presented the show with five new proposals and 15 placements, in which many a later hit also premiered, such as Andrea Bocelli & Judy Weiss with "Vivo per lei - I live for them" or Michael Jackson's "Stranger in Moscow "and Silly's" Asylum in Paradise ". Regional hits by yoga from Northern Thuringia or the Hessian band Icks also made it to the top of the charts. At the end of 1996 he left the station.

He worked in the music department of MDR Life from 1997 to 1999 and was also responsible for special programs. He had put together a highly regarded Bee Gees special, a show with child stars ("With the pacifier in the charts") and unforgettable movie hits ("Hollywood for the ears"). For MDR Sputnik he interviewed the then still unknown band Bell, Book & Candle, which a little later had a top ten hit with "Rescue Me".

Since 1997 Holger-Ralf Ehrhardt has worked for the Erfurt-based children's channel of ARD and ZDF ( KiKA ). Here he is responsible for the program information. His passion for radio and music has remained to this day. He is an honorary member of the HSF University Radio in Ilmenau .

A great passion for him is the Eurovision Song Contest , which he has been attending regularly as a reporter since 1991.

Holger-Ralf Ehrhardt has been moderating the "MDR-Schlagerwelt" since November 2016 and can be heard regularly. Here he is often the host of the "Kaffeekränzchen" and has welcomed Marie Wegener, Roland Kaiser, the Fernando Express and INKA, among others. He also produces "Schlager ABC" s and contributions.
